Alright, YOU talk.

Here's something I've been meaning to do for a while. Meg Fowler does this often and well and it's lots of fun - questions for you, o precious visitors. Some of you I know well and some of you I don't even know exist. Now is your time to shine, your moment in the sun (if there was actually any sun today or likely to be any for the next week, that is).

So move your hands from mouse to keyboard and let's see what you have to say for yourself. Yes, YOU.

1) Hi! How are you today?
2) Do you have a calendar nearby? What's the theme?
3) Do you prefer sweet or savory?
4) What would you do for a living if you could do ANYTHING - time, training, physical strength and talent are not barriers?
5) Have you ever played lasertag?
6) What's your favourite article of clothing you have?
7) Do you have a superpower? What is it?
8) What song would you sing at karaoke? (You have to pick something, you can't just squirm and say oh I can't sing.)

That ought to get you started. C'mon, this'll give you a way to put off doing that unpleasant task you're avoiding at work for at LEAST ninety seconds.

1) Hi! How are you today?

Overworked, hating the weather and possessed of a viscious headache, but weirdly in a great mood. Go figure.

2) Do you have a calendar nearby? What's the theme?

Yes. It's a dayplanner. Polestar business calendar, with inspirational/motivational quotes on every page.

3) Do you prefer sweet or savory?

Spicy, which I guess is savoury.

4) What would you do for a living if you could do ANYTHING - time, training, physical strength and talent or not barriers?

What I do now, but more.

5) Have you ever played lasertag?

Nope.

6) What's your favourite article of clothing you have?

I have two and they are insperable; my 501 jeans and a navy sweatshirt.

7) Do you have a superpower? What is it?

I have an eidetic memory (really).

8) What song would you sing at karaoke? (You have to pick something, you can't just squirm and say oh I can't sing.)

It varies, but if asked right now, probably Joel Plaskett's "Nowhere with you" as that's what's pumping through my head.

1) Hi! How are you today?

Doing well, having fun playing Charles Darwin for a few hundred first year biology students.

2) Do you have a calendar nearby? What's the theme?

Just the one on my computer desktop, which currently has a picture of an elegant trogon (a tropical bird from Costa Rica).

3) Do you prefer sweet or savory?

SWEET! SWEEEEET!!! Did I mention SWEEEET???

4) What would you do for a living if you could do ANYTHING - time, training, physical strength and talent are not barriers?

Act in feature films.

5) Have you ever played lasertag?

Many times, it's a blast! (sorry)

6) What's your favourite article of clothing you have?

My new grey jacket. Casual or dressy depending what I wear it with. I'll wear it this weekend, for sure.

7) Do you have a superpower? What is it?

You know when you drink a really cold drink and get that pain in your temples called brainfreeze? I'm immune. I'm also not very ticklish. Small powers, but they could help me save the time-space continuum some day!

8) What song would you sing at karaoke? (You have to pick something, you can't just squirm and say oh I can't sing.)

My favorite is "What a Wonderful Life" by Satchmo.

1) Hi! How are you today? A bit pensive, but ok. 2) Do you have a calendar nearby? What's the theme? Our calendar is from the Canadian Wildlife Federation. This month's photo is of a lovely Arctic Fox. 3) Do you prefer sweet or savory? Sweet, mostly. 4) What would you do for a living if you could do ANYTHING - time, training, physical strength and talent are not barriers? I'd be a Botanist. 5) Have you ever played lasertag? Dear me, no. Is it like Capture The Flag? I did that when I was a tad, was pretty good at it. 6) What's your favourite article of clothing you have? My grey suspenders. 7) Do you have a superpower? What is it? No superpowers here. 8) What song would you sing at karaoke? "Stars" from that obscure musical, Les Miserables

I heard about the weather in Van. Meanwhile, down in LA we're having record highs. Like, in the 90s.

1) Pissed off. Ayotte painted my replacement drum without sending me color samples to make sure it will match my old drums. And I was going to order another drum, but prices have skyrocketed the last few years. I also have a concert this weekend, and some of the students need to die.

And that girl whose phone number I got? Total flake. Ugh.

2) No. I just use my phone or computer.

3) Depends on what I'm supposed to be eating.

4) What I'm doing now, only I'd make a lot more money (and I'd do more session work). Maybe dog breeder. And professional assassin.

5) Yes, about 20 years ago. Oh god I'm old.

6) Do glasses count? My Silhouette glasses are the best, almost invisible and the lightest in the world. Otherwise, my kilt.

7) Multiple orgasms. Hey, for a dude, it counts.

8) It has always been my dream to do a medley of butt songs - "Fat Bottom Girls" by Queen, "Big Bottom" by Spinal Tap, "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-A-Lot, and for the finale (aka the punchline), "Brown-Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison.

1. A fairly lazy day with not a lot happening. And really, what more do you want on a Sunday.
2. We have a Lonely Planet calendar. This month, the tourist hotspot of West Africa.
3. Very much with the sweet.
4. Professional writer, specifically comic books. Then again, I'm doing NaNoMo and am hitting my daily word count, so maybe I'm on my way.
5. Once, I think.
6. I really don't have much in the way of favourite clothes. Although I did get a new coat that I'm becoming fond of. I always like a good coat.
7. Scary ability to remember comic book trivia.
8. Downtown train by Tom Waits. If I have to do karokee, then I'm going to do a song by a guy who sings as bad as I do. How hard could it be to butcher it? Then again, Rod Stewart managed to do it.

Really sorry, but new comments have been disabled because the spammers have ruined it for everyone. I don't maintain this blog any more and almost all the comments I get are people trying to sneak in links to their products. If you really genuinely have something you need to say to me personally, email me at kirsten --AT-- crowstoburnaby dot com.
